On 3/9 my husband attempted to put our “new” dishwasher in. Before we knew it we had a hot water gusher going in our kitchen that we could not stop. We called our usual plumber and he could not come for two days. So we looked online and called Pro-Service and spoke to Kelly. She listened and while she was locating someone to come help us she gave us advice on shutting down the gusher. She sent Tommy and kept us updated as to his timing which was very quick! He shut down the gusher and replace the broken valve so we asked him to come back and install the dishwasher. On 3/10 he returned and installed the dishwasher which was defective and showed us problem areas. He was quick and efficient and the price for both repairs was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and its employees. I have already recommended them to my friends.
Flexible plastic tubing can be used to circulate hot water below your home’s flooring. This is known as hydronic heating. The water/liquid is stored in a boiler and pushed into a plumbing manifold so that it can be properly circulated throughout your home floors as designed. While this is a very beneficial way to radiate heat through your floors during colder seasons, hydronic heating can develop some serious problems that require plumbing repair.

I found out about Pete's Plumbing Repair through Yelp. Thanks for the reviews and recommendations here. Pete did a great job of unclogging our kitchen sink. He made sure that the water was draining properly and that sink area was clean. I highly recommended him to my neighbors, family and friends. I would definitely use Pete's Plumbing again. Thank you Pete!

Water with high mineral content is called "hard water". Two of the minerals we encounter most in beautiful San Diego are calcium and magnesium. These molecules find each other and bind themselves together to create the powdery deposits we see on our fixtures and shower doors. Hardness affects everything it comes in contact with. It wreaks havoc on dishwashers and can drastically shorten the life of your tankless or traditional tank type water heater. Deposits attach to vital components of your plumbing system and adhere to the interior of your pipes, progressively getting worse and worse until it gets so bad it must be addressed. The best solution is an anti-scale device. We always encourage homeowners to do their research, but we recommend a device that sends a very light a.m. frequency (much like an a.m. radio) through the water column and disturbs molecules enough to keep them from binding together and ganging up on your plumbing system. The initial investment may be off-putting, but in the medium, to long run, it can save you tens of thousands of dollars in repairs and replacements, including plumbing fixtures like faucets, washing machines, dishwashers failure, failing pipes and flooding! So, do some research and find out what will best serve you. Our plumbing system experts are always happy to consult with you and help you get on the right path.

So we start by cleaning the joints to be soldered. Okay. In this case we're going to use these two pieces of pipe. You just kind of wrap it around, and you're going to clean it. Be judicious with the cleaning. Okay. I don't want to see any black marks on that recently sanded pipe. That's carbon. That will cause a leak. That's another reason I'm wearing gloves. People might call me a primadonna for doing so, but it actually keeps the oils in your hands off of the joint. This is not conducive to soldering. The oils in your hands are not conducive to soldering. So now we're going to take our fitting and our fitting brush, okay, just a wire brush. This one's kind of beat up, but it will still get the job done. Again same idea, you twist it around in there until you can see your reflection. So we've got a nice, clean 90-degree elbow. The next thing you want to do, again the gloves come in, they're very imperative here.

Plumbing reached its early apex in ancient Rome, which saw the introduction of expansive systems of aqueducts, tile wastewater removal, and widespread use of lead pipes. With the Fall of Rome both water supply and sanitation stagnated—or regressed—for well over 1,000 years. Improvement was very slow, with little effective progress made until the growth of modern densely populated cities in the 1800s. During this period, public health authorities began pressing for better waste disposal systems to be installed, to prevent or control epidemics of disease. Earlier, the waste disposal system had merely consisted of collecting waste and dumping it on the ground or into a river. Eventually the development of separate, underground water and sewage systems eliminated open sewage ditches and cesspools.
